1. Coral - Bet £5 Get £20 | Matched Betting Walkthrough

With this being the very first offer I run through, I will be adding extra screenshots to help as a guide. For future offers I will simply provide the detail of each bet.

Before I start, I need:

  • A Profit Accumulator Membership for the offer detail, oddsmatcher software and matched betting calculator. (Platinum Membership is fine, no need for Diamond)

  • A new account with the bookmaker listed above

  • A betting exchange account. I use Smarkets.

Expected Profit (~75%): £14-£16

Key Information:

  • Offer: Bet £5, Get £20

  • Minimum Odds: 1.5

  • Free Bet Credited: On placement of qualifier bet

Qualifier Bet:

To find a good qualifier bet I used the Profit Accumulator Oddsmatching Software to find a close odds match. I set the minimum odds to 1.5 so we meet the free bet criteria and searched:

On this occasion, I would choose the Hibernian v Rangers game as this is a great match and will keep our qualifier losses nice and low! As it was at the time of me placing my qualifier bet, the Nottingham Forest v West Ham game was the best odds match. The best odds matches change frequently, so it is important to use tools such as the oddsmatching software.

Once finding a good match, head over to the Profit Accumulator Matched Betting Calculator to calculate your bets.

As you can see, West Ham lost so we lost our £5 at Coral. This is the reason why we bet on the opposite result in the betting exchange so we get our return into the betting exchange. Smarkets take a 2% commission if you are wondering why our return was slightly less.

Qualifier Bet Total: -£0.20

This is just as we expected. It has cost us only £0.20 to now have a free bet credited by Coral where we can turn a profit!

Free Bet:

We now have our £20 free bet credited from Coral and this is where we can start to make some cash!

With the free bet we follow the same principal as we did with the qualifier bet, however this time we look for higher odds. Higher odds mean higher profits. (Please consider that the higher the odds, the more money we need to back the bets up with, so if you have a smaller bank I would suggest sticking to odds around 4.0-6.0)

Once again I used the Profit Accumulator Oddsmatching Software to find a close odds match:

Juventus v Sassuolo looks great! The odds are nice and high and they are close together. I go to the Profit Accumulator Matched Betting Calculator to calculate the bets ensuring I select the "Free Bet (SNR)" Calculator:

£15.90 minimum is a great return! I normally accept anything around 75% and this comes in at 79.48%. As you can see in this bet, the liability is £94.08 so I will need £94.08 in my Smarkets account to place this bet. If you don't have this much spare cash it's okay, just look for lower odds.

Bet on Sassuolo with Coral using your free bet:

Bet AGAINST Sassuolo with Smarkets using the calculator lay stake of £16.22:

At the time of writing this, the game hasn't taken place, but I know I have already won because the result doesn't matter...I will detail all outcomes below to prove it.

£15.92

Overall profit if Sassuolo DON'T win the match: £15.92

£15.92 is your Lay Stake. Do not get this confused with Liability. Liability is what you have to risk in order to win your Lay Stake. There is a higher chance Sassuolo won't win the match so we have to put the cash upfront to get the £15.92 back.

Remember to factor in our £0.20 loss on our qualifier bet into overall profits.

Matched betting isn't a straight forward concept to grasp. If you are trying to do it for free it's tough. A Profit Accumulator subscription is worth its weight in gold. It gives you all the tools you need, and within 2 small offers you've made your monthly subscription costs back and are into profit. They offer a free trial too if you wanted to see what there tools are like. They don't ask for any card details either so there is no obligation to continue!

That is the end of the first sign up offer! I will wait for the match to play out and withdraw my profits of either £15.72 or £15.75 (including 20p qualifier bet costs).
